Our Location
Sheffield is a town famous for it's some 50 murals. It is located 28 kms from Devonport (the arrival point of the Spirit of Tasmania). The Devonport Airport is 30 minutes drive and Launceston Airport is 60 minute away.
Sheffield is in the centre of the tourist area in the north west of Tasmania. A 60 km drive will take you to Cradle Mountain, the arts and crafts town of Deloraine is about 30 minutes away. Majestic Mount Roland forms the backdrop of Sheffield, an imposing presence, with several walking tracks and climbing trails.
- In and around Sheffield there are many interesting things to do and places to see. The famous murals are the main town attractions. A short drive will take you to Lake Barrington with its world famous rowing course, the rugged Mount Roland and tourist attractions such as Tasmazia. Why not base yourself at 'Tanglewood' for a few days and experience the north west region on day trips? These include Cradle Mountain with its many beautiful walks, a trip along the north coast to Stanley, taking in Penguin, Wynyard, Table Cape and Boat Harbour on the way.
